Peradeniya (1 of 1)
Before the British arrived these were royal pleasure gardens; today they're the largest botanic gardens in Sri Lanka, covering 60 hectares and bounded on three sides by a loop of the Mahaweli Ganga. They're beautiful and well worth a visit.
